Trained at Oxford School of Drama and L’Ecole Philippe Gaulier.
For aod has worked extensively as performer, aerialist, director, workshop leader and movement coach, collaborating on her solo aerial show, Bacchic with Jonathan Young (Shams Theatre); Matilda Leyser (Line Point Plane); Lucinka Eisler (Hysteria); Simon McCorry (Creative Cabin) and Katharine Williams. Previously colaborated with co-founder, David Stuttard (writer and adaptor) on many past aod shows working jointly with Thea Barnes (former Artistic Director Phoenix Dance) on Medea 2002 and Marcello Magni (Complicite) on Oedipus 2003. For aod she directed the critically acclaimed revival of Oedipus and Trojan Women. She is a freelance performer and director and other theatre credits include BandBazi’s Breakfast at Audrey’s and the Circus Project’s The Persian Cinderella collaborating with John Binnie and Philippa Vafadari. More recently she with Ruby in the Dust in their West End production of The Extraordinary Cabaret of Dorian Gray and prior to that she played the part of Nica (Pannonica Rothschild) in Theatralia’s Misterioso.
Mark Katz

For aod has worked extensively as a performer as well as their Education Officer and workshop leader, including lead roles in Electra, Trojan Women, Antigone and Graves Gifts as well as Jason in the Audiobook of Medea and various roles in the Face Of Tragedy DVD. Mark has designed and run many workshops for aod and other organisations both in this country and abroad and specialises in Greek Drama and modern comedy! Other acting credits include roles in touring productions of Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Great Expectations, The Tempest, Jungle Book and many others. Mark also works extensively in both the Corporate Theatre world and sketch comedy and has performed regularly at The Edinburgh Festival.
Lianna Valenti
Development Officer
In 2009 Lianna completed a Masters of Arts degree in English Literature and Critical Theory. Her main focus of this study was Greek Literature and Poetry with an emphasis on Feminist Visions and Adaptations. Lianna worked with aod from 2009 to early 2010 and has since been working with Brighton & Hove City Council in the Adult Social Care Department. Lianna has recently re-joined aod and is delighted to be working with them as their Development Officer.
