Thea in rehearsals for aod's Medea
We are very sad to hear about the death of Thea Nerissa - Barnes, who worked with us on our production of Medea in 2001.
Thea was a fantastic artist, choreographer and mentor who worked with us to produce a version of Medea that was physical, powerful and exciting, and her choreographic contribution to the piece will always resonate with us. She also worked on our production of Antigone the subsequent year.
She was, amongst other great roles, former Artistic Director of the brilliant Phoenix Dance Company.
Her loss will be felt by all in the dance community and we extend our condolences to her friends and family at this sad time.
