aod is a registered charity that receives no regular funding and we rely on our supporters who help us to create exciting work which keeps Ancient Greek drama alive and accessible. We need to raise a raise a minimum of £50,000 a year to provide a base rate for all of our projects, which include our spellbinding performances and our varied outreach programme.
In ancient Athens as today, successful productions of the drama relied on the support of benefactors, citizens known as choregoi.
Our work is ambitious, exciting and accessible, and we greatly value the support of our members and donors, who help to make the work happen. Financial support is intrinsic to our operation and without it, we simply couldn’t survive.
Support for aod can be on a number of levels, and there are many ways to become involved with our work. We are actively seeking donations, corporate sponsorship and in kind support. In addition, you can join our membership group and become a Friend, Patron, Benefactor or God, or apply to join our board of trustees or inner circle of support.
